HOW IT WORKS
A small Windows app that looks at your network from the inside. It runs without admin rights and asks for nothing else.
Pharus finds your devices, checks the ports each one leaves open, tests your router for its factory password and rates your Wi-Fi. Then up to 8 quick questions fill in what a scan cannot see.
Your report explains each problem in plain words, with steps to fix it. Download it as a PDF, or save it to a free account.
WHAT IT FINDS
Laptops, phones, printers, cameras and TVs, named by make where possible, so you can spot what does not belong. It flags quiet smart devices that may not show up.
Services each device exposes to the network, like old remote desktop sharing or old, unencrypted connections.
Whether its admin page is reachable, and whether it still accepts one of the common factory logins.
Which protection your Wi-Fi uses, and whether it is strong enough for client work.
Services like Telnet or plain FTP that send passwords unprotected, recognised from what each device reports.
With a free account, Pharus remembers your network and tells you when an unknown device appears.
FREE ACCOUNT
Both are free. The account simply keeps your history and watches for changes.
Pharus reads what your devices show to the network. It never changes a setting on your router. It never changes anything.
Without an account, your results disappear when you close the page, unless you download the PDF.
Saved scans live on EU servers in Ireland, under European law.
